This is my 5″x7″ oil painting. Of peridot’s green, a guardian in the fall. Ask it long enough, and you will hear its answer.

I like to imagine this quip as an inscription carved beneath the painting.

Paintings in the Face in the Wall series are always fun for me to create. Blending contemporary realism with formal mark making is a primary interest in my visual style — where realistic elements dissolve into obvious brush strokes.
