This portrait started as a color interaction experiment with new paint in the background, never intending on it becoming a work. Then I had a vision of a face filling the central space that fit so perfectly. I was the closest reference I had to meet the odd pose as you are your most available model. Shot the reference photo, then painted myself a clean shave.
