This painting was an invented materials study, where I imagined textures and applied them to invented shapes.

I had some inspirations for my materials such as gummies, jelly, gemstones, and glass, while making the textures inspired by insect exoskeleton, wood, and plucked chicken skin.

Overall I wanted a glowing, translucent, colorful space and I’m pleased by its end.
