Floaty Head No. 1
When I was still teaching at public school, I would produce a small painting during my time off the clock. This painting started with loose brush strokes, where no preparatory drawing was done. I was focusing on using an expressive and theoretical color pallet. It began using 2 complementary colors red and green specifically Schmincke’s madder brown and perylene green. In its final stages I glazed translucent yellow, magenta, and navy followed by some gouache for opacities.
